The variety is properly termed Morrison's Seedless grapefruit but because of cross pollination it does mean some fruit may carry seeds. The Morrison Seedless grapefruit has subsequently been improved to give us the Golden Special. The fruit are large and juicy and have a delicious flavour with a finely grained richly coloured flesh which is largely free of seeds. The skin colour is rich golden, thin and easily peeled. Fruit generally ripens in July and will continue on the tree through to November. The Golden Special ( Morrisons Seedless ) is by far the best for breakfast, drinks and for making marmalade.
